Research Interests:

My overall research centers on the mechanistic understandings of organic and biology-related reactions employing mechanistic analysis methodologies. Current research includes three projects, (i) structure-reactivity-mechanism relationship for hydride transfer reactions from alcohols to oragnic cations, (ii) biomimetic chemistry studies of the alcoholic oxidations by NAD+ coenzyme mediated by alcohol dehydrogenases, and (iii) enhanced reactivity of hydroxide ion in water containing cyclodextrin.
