On every page, I
used this CSS file and SSI commands:
<!--#config timefmt="%A %B %e %Y %r %Z" -->
<!--#echo var="DATE_LOCAL"-->
to tell the user the time and date and time zone they are in.
And at the end of each page, I used:
<!--#config timefmt="%B %e, %Y %r" -->
<!--#echo var="LAST_MODIFIED"-->
to tell users how currnet the information is.
Narration: The goal of this website is for personal use and to keep track
of my projects that I have done and will be doing in the future. In addition,
it is an alternative for anyone that wants to contract me as a web designer.
I chose a simple color #704426 for the fonts and used it throughout the website to keep its consistancy. I used my picture that I have faded (decreased opacity of 44%) from the original picture and converted it to a background image for the main page. I have faded it so the fonts on the page is visible.
On top, I used a program called Adobe photoshop to make the logo with siue log and my name displayed. You can do the same thing with MACROMEDEA FLASH/FIREWORK. I used a font named 'super ultra 911' to give it a cool look to the name displayed above.
On the side, I used my picture to look like a cut out picture using adobe
photoshop. And used adobe to go to switch the pictre to its original for
2 sec and to brown fade for 6 sec.
A complete tutorial on adobe photoshop can be found online and SIUE library
has a good book called
1001 ADOBE PHOTOSHOP TIPS by Andy Anderson Call no: T385.A495 2001
The hand outs in class about CSS also helped identify each details.
The hand out on Server-Side Authentication was used to come up with user
name and password for secure website. For example the resume file is secured
under a password.
