Alpha Phi

Fall 2008- Fall 2012

I joined Alpha Phi my freshman year of college in 2008. I have changed so much from this experience. My favorite part about Alpha Phi is not just the sisterhood, but also the philanthropy which raises money for cardiac care for women. The two events that we hold anually raise so much money for cardiac care, and it is such a great cause. It was a great experience to become a part of something greater than myself. I took on a position the Fall of my senior year which was the director of the member development committee for my chapter. My job was to plan program meetings for the chapter, and to monitor all member's social media profiles. This position was just one of the many gifts that Alpha Phi gave to me. I was a very involved and dedicated active member, and this was the key to growing as a woman during my time in college.

 

PRSSA

Fall 2012- Spring 2012

I joined PRSSA the Fall of my senior year. This professional organization has taught me a lot about the world of PR. It is a great organization to be a part of because of the various opportunities that it brings to growing PR students. There are opportunities for internships, networking and self representation through the workshops that are provided at meetings. I am very glad that I joined this organization because it has helped me to better understand all that I can accomplish through the field of public relations and take every opportunity presented to me.

 

National Honor Society of Leadership and Success

Fall 2012- Spring 2012

I joined the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success organization Fall of my senior year. It is an organization that helps students grow as leaders. There are famous guest speakers that are on live broadcast where students watch and learn from their experiences and motivational speaking. I have enjoyed being a member because I have learned a lot about how to be a better leader in everything that I do.
