Chris,

I think that your reflection on not making storyboards is really good. It’s creates a sense of how you grew as a result of making this mistake.

Under your production heading, I’m not exactly sure what you mean here: Second, I probably have thrown out the baby with the bath water in my production by having ideas documented almost exclusively in the final draft of the site. Previous ideas or versions of the pages could possibly have been better than what I have produced.

Do you mean that you didn’t write down ideas as you went along? You only documented what you finally did? Maybe clarification is needed here. (Maybe I’m just tired and am not reading right.)

I wish I could write a rough draft as solid as this!

Rhonda

Thank you for the kind words and critical eye Rhonda. I have enjoyed following your posts this semester and have learned much from following your process!

You wrote, "Under your production heading, I’m not exactly sure what you mean here: Second, I probably have thrown out the baby with the bath water in my production by having ideas documented almost exclusively in the final draft of the site. ...yeah, I kind of expected that. I was really in that flow brainset! What I was trying to get at (if you will allow me to write to learn!) was that I designed and brainstormed right in Kompozer. The first incarnation of my assignments pages were over written by subsequent versions of the pages. I probably would have been better off brainstorming in Word or on paper. Filed these away and created my pages from these notes. Not that I couldn't edit in Kompozer as I fine tuned my pages, but I am sure that I probably lost some good wording or interaction or strategy by designing almost exclusively in Kompozer as I created the pages. I guess what I am getting out is more documentation would make production in the software even more smooth.

Is that clear as mud still?! I'm going to have to read over and see what I just wrote...that's pretty much what I mean. Probably will make it's way into my reflection (with some more fine tuning). Thanks Rhonda!
