Complete Web Design Assignment 2: Create a web site has a total of 6 pages with some information on each page. Web site has 2 target links to a New Window. All pages are linked to one another. There are no "orphan" pages. Web site contains 3 advanced Web features (i.e. button, marquee, page transition, rollover effect, swap image, flash text). Images are not "broken". All pages, graphics, and files are FTP'd to the users SIUE web space.
Current Project: I have been working on two flash based websites, and a regular html based website for this class. I created two flash based websites because I was not satisfied with the look of the first website. The first website can be accessed
here, the second website can be accessed here. (the first design is not fully finished as I have yet to implement audio and did not include any other menus in it). And here is the link to the regular html page here.

The idea is to make sure that people that do not have flash on their machines or who prefer a less graphic version of the website can have the choice to choose either one of these sites.

Reflections:
About assignment 2: Working with Flash can be very time consuming especially when things don't work exactly the way you expect them to... I have also created some flash buttons for the regular html based website as this is one of the requirements for the assignment.

To do List for week of 2/4

Complete Web Design Assignment 1: Create a web site that has a total of 3 pages with information on each page. Each web site has two pages with a background color or image. All pages are linked to one another. There are no "orphan" pages. There is a link to email the web site author. Each web site contains at least two graphics that are appropriate. Images are not "broken". All pages, graphics, and files are FTP'd to the users SIUE web space.
Current Project: I have created two web sites that you can access in the previous post. I am working on two things a regular html website and a flash based website (the work in progress version of the Flash based site can be accessed
here, this is still very much an unfinished version).

The idea is to make sure that people that do not have flash on their machines or who prefer a less graphic version of the website can have the choice to choose either one of these sites.

Reflections:
About assignment 1: These websites are very basic, obviously the purpose is to prove that we understood how to insert text, pictures and working links in a website. I think that I will be working more on the design of the pages next time.

About the two other websites: Using flash is always time consuming, there are certain things that need to be done, implementing background audio, implementing read from txt file (so that updates to the website can be done independently from the flash file) etc...
