I set up a photo gallery so our family could view and share photos on the web. When I import photos into my computer they are automatically put into an iphoto event. I click and drag the event to the page. Like the video gallery, the user is linked to the Mobile Me photo gallery when they click one of the events, or albums. As a result, a new window opens where the user can view the images.

My mom, sister and peers all had difficulty getting back to my site from the photo gallery. I watched my sister trying to get back and could see that she was afraid to close the window for fear of losing the whole thing completely. I planned to add a note or link in the photo gallery that said something like, “Close the window to return to the site.” However, the gallery will only hold photos and I don’t know how to make text into a photo. I have been thinking about other possibilites, but have not come up with a new way.

Sharing photos on the gallery was another goal. Although I put directions in the blog, I did not alert the user to go to the blog to find the directions. I also made the same mistake with adding events to the calendar. There was also the issue of making the gallery password protected or not. What if someone uploaded photos that were inappropriate? I received many good suggestions and ideas from the discussion board.
