Magazine 7 Page Layout

Course: Publication Layout and Design

Program: InDesign

Individual

Objective:
Design and layout three consecutive magazine spreads with a stand-alone page (7 page layout).
Use at least seven of the thirty-six photos provided.  Add given caption for each photo used.
Create a main title to compliment provided story.  Create secondary title of at least five words.
Use three columns of 18 inches.  Add the given byline and photo credit along with crediting self for layout.

Summary:
The best ten photos were used to portrayed the emotion of the story.  The story is about the difficulties of young women growing up in the modern United States culture.  Therefore, the cover photo best demonstrates emotional stress of a young teen girl.  Each photo shows either young women who are trying to fit in or the grown up women whom they consider to be their role models.
I constructed the art designs on each page.  On the cover page, the different color stripes are supposed to resemble the stripes on the American flag; and the girls, the stars.  Each page after has lines that start from the corner of a page and go up, which was also created free hand in InDesign.
