WIKIs for Education

With the Wiki, someone other than the original author can contribute to and edit a website.

Educational Institutions have taken an interest in this new technology and developed Wikis for collaborative educational purposes.

Yale and University of Chicago have Wikipedia where anyone can contribute by editing the page. They have a sandbox for practicing, rules of etiquette, copyright information and much more. Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yale_University

CourseForum offers a software for instructors and students to collaborate together. Documents can be shared, lectures can be posted, and discussions initiated.
