Kari Williams is an award-winning journalist in St. Louis, Mo., where she currently covers government and education for Call Newspapers as a freelancer. She also writes for InsideSTL.com, a sports/entertainment website that she previously interned with. Through her work with InsideSTL, she has interviewed such stars as Kevin Cronin (REO Speedwagon), Clint Lowery (Sevendust) and WWE star Chris Jericho. She was also approved for press credentials to cover the first Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con, at which she interviewed former Power Ranger Jason David Frank. Kari is well-versed in print and online media. In addition to InsideSTL, she interned with Town & Style, a St. Louis lifestyles magazine. Her work for the Alestle, SIUE’s student newspaper, has also broadened her experience. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mass Communications: Media Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She holds an assistantship position as a reporter for This Week in CAS, a news hub for SIUE’s College of Arts & Sciences. She earned a B.A. in Mass Communications: Print & Electronic Journalism from SIUE in Dec. 2011 and began working at the Call immediately upon graduation.
