How to Brew Mead at Home

Settling and Bottling

The Next Day:      Remove the mead from your jug and wash the jug. Return the mead to the jug and once again place in the
                                                                         refrigerator.

The Next Day:    Repeat the process above, adding 1/4 cup of grain alcohol.  Reseal with fresh paper towels and return the mead to
                                                          the refrigerator.

At This Point:    The mead will need to chill for 3 or 4 days before it can be bottled.  After you have bottled it, the mead will need to
settle for up to two weeks before it is drinkable.  It will continue to improve with age until it is approximately six
months, at which time it will begin to spoil.
