CS 434 First Oracle Exercise Summer, 1997
You are to prepare a report similar to that found on page 84 in the Oracle book. However, your report is to report on the payments made by G. B. Talbot as recorded in his ledger.
Your report should first report all of the payments to a given person or persons and give the total amount paid to that person or persons. For each payment, your report should give the date, a description of the service, the recipient and the amount of that payment.
Turn in a printout of the .sql file you prepare and of the resulting report. These should be done by the end of the lab period. Your .sql file should look somewhat like that on page 85 in that it should use white space to group sets of instructions and rem statements to identify who, what, when, etc. I will grade this on the basis of 40 points. Late papers will lose 5 points per day.
Notes:
You may prepare your .sql file using any editor and upload it to folder as an ASCII file. You should set the protections on the file to 777 before entering Oracle. Also, if you spool the output to a file, say resutl.txt, you should create a blank file by that name in your directory and set its protection to 777. At the end of your session, before you log off of folder, reset the protections of your files to 700.
