This site will be
valuable to a visitor because it teaches you about the many parts of the
computer. It describes different types of hardware like the monitor, keyboard
and mouse. It also describes different types of software and what each one
does. This website also teaches you how to use different computer operations
like the enter and delete key.

In the first chapter
it introduces the computer. The book describes different computer parts and
different functions that the computer can perform.

down the introduction to computers to different categories. It breaks it down into 10 different
categories, from parts of your computer to care and feeding of your computer.
This website will even run you through steps on how to hook up your computer.

I believe this website
is as valuable as the first in the same categories. The only real difference I
noticed between these two was this one broke it into categories on the first
page, and the fist one you had to keep clicking through to find what you
wanted.

- This website briefs you on what the internet is. It talks about
emails and other internet programs and functions. It gives a definition of
what they believe the internet is and also what a browser is. It also gives information on getting
connected to the internet.
- This just like the textbook breaks down and gives you what they
believe to be an accurate definition of the internet. It also briefs you
about some of the functions of the internet as well.

website gives you a list of the top 10 things you can do on the internet.
It also talks about some functions of the internet and some programs as
well. It teaches you how to use sites, surf the web and harness the
internet. This website also gives you their definition of the internet and
has all of the same features as the other.

website relates to the book in the fact that it breaks down the internet
and shows you some of its functions. This just like the book gives you an
accurate account of the Internet and the World Wide Web.

- This
website gives a list of different application software. It lists things
like word processing, spreadsheets and database programming. With the
lists of each it also gives a definition of the type of software it is.
This gives you an accurate definition of each and tells you what you can
do with each.
- Just
like the book it covers different types of software. It also gives an
accurate definition of each and what you can do with each program.

- This website gives you a definition of application software.
This website also lists different
System Software types of application suits and software bundles. It
also gives different brands of software you can buy to do different types
of work.
- This website doesn’t really have any informative information on
application software. The book talked about what it was and this website
just kind of gave different types.

This website I found
seems to be a chapter out of a book posted on the web containing the same
contents. This website covers five major things about the component system: how
a computer uses binary codes to represent data, it discusses the major system
unit components, it explains differences between the three types of memory, it
discusses the principal types of bus lines and it discusses the five types of
ports.

I believe this website
will be helpful as the book. There are many similarities between the two and
this like the book was easy to understand.

list of the components of the system unit. When you click on each link, some
give you pictures and others gives you pictures and some text about the piece.

I don’t think this
website is going to be very helpful. It really just shows you what the
components of the system units look like and tells you what each one is.

list of input devices for a computer. With the list of devices it also gives a
definition and an explanation of what each is. It also gives an abbreviation
for each input device as well

helpful because it gives a list of some input devices. The only problem with it
is that it does not give as many examples of input devices as the book does, so
its not as helpful.

broad range of input devices. You are then able to click on any of the lists
devices and get information on each one. It also gives you a picture of each
device to help you understand what it does as well.

broad of a range of input devices and will be very helpful. The pictures it
gives also helps it relate to the book and give it the same quality of
learning.

- This website gives a minimum list of output devices, mostly
printers and monitors. It is very informative on the different types of
printers and monitors. The information it gives on the monitors gives
definitions of the different types of monitors as well.
- The textbook gives a list of text, graphic, audio and video
output. The website doesn’t give any audio at all. It is still helpful
though in learning some output information though.

- This website gives a lot of different output devices. It also
gives a definition of what an output device is. It also says what a output device can do as well.
- This website concurs on the output devices that the book has to
offer. It conflicts on the behalf that it doesn’t say anything about the
devices.
Chapter 7- Storage, Storage
- This website is very helpful. It gives different types
of memory like hard disks and floppy disks. The site also gives links to
each one of these and if you click on it, it gives more information on the
link of which you have clicked.
- This website concurs with the book, but it conflicts
in some areas. The book gives pictures and the website fails to do so. It
concurs in the areas of that it does a tremendous job defining each type
of storage unit.

- This website starts off on an introductory page. It
lists three broad ranges of storage devices. You then can click on one of
the three and get information on several types of storage devices.
- This website concurs with the book. It gives
information on all types of storage devices. It is helpful and very easy
to find information about each type, just like the book.

and Utility Programs
- This website is a website for another book company. It
covers the exact same thing the other book does and gives good information
on programs like Microsofts and Macs.
- This
website concurs with the book because it covers the exact information the
book does. It also concurs with the book because it is also easy to use.

on the linxus program. It provides the
information in question and answers. Like who wrote linxus?
It’s a fun way to learn and the only way to actually learn something is by
having fun.
- This website concurs with the book because it talks
about the linxus program. It on the other hand
doesn’t talk about any other kind. So it is only informative one one type of program.
