Interpretation

Jacob Noe (1833-1909)

The Noes are a very important family for me. The brother of this Jacob Noe was Andreas Noe, my great great grandfather. The Noes came from Niederbexbach, another place I have visited. These brothers' father and mother were George Jacob Noe, born 21 Mar 1807 in Niederbexbach, Pfalz, and Elisabetha Klein Noe, born in 1813 in Niederbexbach. Indeed, I have researched and written the story of the Noe saga, especially the story of the four brothers, Jacob, Andreas, Heinrich and Karl, who owned adjacent farms in western Fearing Twp. Jacob Noe is probably buried here in Ludwig Cemetery because his daughter, Carolina Noe, married Ludwig Biehl, and this couple is buried here.

Margaretha Harth Noe (1838-1888)

Likewise, the Harths are very important for our family history. The sister of this Margaretha Harth was none other than the wife of Andreas Noe, Carolina Harth, my great great grandmother. The Harths came from Selchenbach, which I visited with my sister and brother in 2000, and where we met our fifth cousin, Manfred Harth, then the mayor of Selchenbach. Two German brothers often married two sisters of the same age and German descent, and this was the case here.
