This page contains the sets of problems worked in group sessions in class. Note that
I routinely intentionally prepare more problems than we will be able to deal with in class, so
the sets contain some problems that you have not seen.
These problems are valuable pedagogic aids. Their value derives, in part, from the challenge
of actually solving the problems yourselves. This would be nullified if I provided worked
solutions to them. (There are plenty of other problems out there with worked solutions.)
It is far too easy to look at someone else's solution to a problem and to convince onesself
that one could or would have gotten that solution. Only by "soloing" can you truly train
your skills. I will be happy to look over your solutions and let you know whether or not your
technique is correct. But I will not provide solutions to these problems.
