Project Focus: Design a marketing plan for a service then present the findings
Description: In a group, our team created a marketing plan for a local entertainment group. We researched the groups competitors and their position in the current market. We also reviewed the company on their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis). With the research we developed a marketing plan for this entertainment service. We gave the company advice on where would be the most beneficial to advertise and suggestions for SEO.
Challenges: Some forms of advertising can be very expensive. We had to be realistic by considering the service providers budget for this expense.
Project Focus: Analyse case problems and create a presentation to cover solutions
Description: As a consulting group, we analysed a business case where a telecommunication company was falling behind and not able to reach it's projected start up date.Interviews and discussions throughout the case lead us to identify their main problem as Ineffective Leadership. They had symptoms such as: demotivating practices with employees and lack of empowerment/delegation from leaders to subordinates. To solve these issues our team gave a presentation which covered solutions and a specific action plan to address each symptom.
Challenges: Within the case there were many issues the company had besides Ineffective Leadership. The challenge was to choose which problem was going to help the company reach the over-all goal: staying on track to reach the rescheduled start-up date.
