As a result of their schooling students will be able to:

A.   Locate, describe and explain places, regions and features on the Earth.

17.A.3b Explain how to make and use geographic representations to provide and enhance spatial information including maps, graphs, charts, models, aerial photographs, satellite images.

Preparations:

1.     A list of the above websites.

2.     Copies of  the puzzles and the word search.

 

Methods:

1.     Give test on the “Notable African Americans in E. St. Louis”.

2.     Collect test papers.

3.     Pass out a list of the above websites.

4.     Pass out the puzzles and the word search.

5.     Have each student work individually.

6.     Find the answers to the crossword puzzle and the word search.

7.     Save pictures and information for the final website project in a Word file.

 

Evaluation/Assessment:

Write a 100 words or more thesis on which metro east area that you have never visited before and why you would like to visit that area.
