This split is called the 4-7-10 split. In order to pick this split up you would want to throw you ball so it goes to the left of the 4, such that the 4 flys over to the 10 while the ball continues through the 7 pin.

This split is called the 5-7 split. In order to pick this split up you would want to throw your ball so it goes at angle to the right of the 5 pin such that it sends the 5 pin sailing into the 7 pin.

This split is called the 8-10 split or field goal as I like to call it. I call it a field goal because in order to pick it up you want to throw your ball right in between the two pins. The scale on this picture is a little off but if the ball is thrown right in between the two pins it will knock both of them down.

This split is called the 4-6-7-10 split or the big four. This is one of the toughest splits to pick up. This is due to the extreme angle you need to take slide either the 4 or 6 pin almost horizontally to knock either the 4 or 6 respectively. This almost has the same technique as the 4-7-10 split except that you want to come in more of the left of the 4 pin. |
