COURSE DESCRIPTION:
2. Describe the organizational structure of various health care organizations.
3. Identify organizational variables that influence the practice of professional nursing.
4. Explain the process of change as it relates to current health care issues.
5. Analyze the present and emerging role of the professional nurse as a change agent.
6. Identify the leadership dimensions in nursing practice that impact on the delivery of patient care services.
7. Explain leadership strategies pertinent to the role of the nurse as a group leader.
8. Explain the nurse's responsibilities and accountability for quality client care delivery.
9. Identify the leadership role of professional nurses in ethical decision-making.
10. Relate the principles of scientific inquiry and research findings to the management of health care services.
