About Me

Welcome

Hi, I’m Brad, and thanks for visiting my website! I developed this site (from scratch) as a place for employers - or anyone else - to get a better idea of who I am and my potential as a creator. Please take a look through my information, and email me with any questions you might have. Thanks again!

Where I'm From

I was born March 23, 1996, in Alton, IL (that makes me 21 as of writing this). I lived there for most of my life until just recently moving to Edwardsville, IL, with my brother to be closer to school and work.

My Five Year Plan

Five years from now, I see myself living in a city, working in the video game industry or something similar. I’ve developed my own personal video game project and published a complete album of my own music. I’ve done quite a bit of travelling, and I’ve built up a nice collection of photos.

School

Alton High School

In high school, I was in the top 5% of my 500-student graduating class, earning a GPA of 4.3 (on a 4.0 scale). I was also a design editor for the senior yearbook, and was credited with creating the book's cover. Thanks to dual-credit courses through Lewis and Clark Community College, I even earned 35 college credits.

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

I'm majoring in computer science with a minor in mathematics, and will be graduating in May of 2018. I currently have a cummulative GPA of 3.3, and I've made the Dean's List twice.

Here are a few of the key classes I've taken:
Work

Target

I worked as an Electronics Team Member at the Alton Target store from August 2013 to March 2016. I provided customer service, answering any questions a guest might have about our electronics selection. I also answered phone calls, helped guests navigate the store, and even trained new team members.

SIUE Campus Recreation

I’ve been providing SIUE Campus Recreation with Technical Support since February 2015. Other than general hardware and software troubleshooting, I also set up events using microphones, speakers, projectors, etc. I manage the internal department database, adding in new program, event, and equipment listings whenever needed. Finally, I update the department website using HTML and CSS. When I do have downtime, I like to develop software tools for internal staff use. It’s not in the job description, but I enjoy it! (You can see them listed in the Projects section below)

My supervisor at SIUE Campus Recreation is Margaret Fredrickson - marfred@siue.edu

Edwardsville YMCA

I’ve been working as a Member Services Team Member at the Edwardsville YMCA since June 2017. I help customers with any questions regarding programs and memberships. I act as a receptionist, greeting guests, helping patrons with any questions regarding programs and memberships, and answering and transferring phone calls. I sign guests up for memberships and process their payments and paperwork. When requested, I even give tours of our facility.

My supervisor at the Edwardsville YMCA is Erin Richardson - erichardson@edwymca.com

Thinkpiece Research

I just started working as a Web Developer at Thinkpiece Research in November 2017. Thinkpiece is a marketing research startup out of Batavia, IL that focuses on qualitative research. They have hired me to develop their homepage during their upcoming rebranding.

The founder of Thinkpiece Research is Bonnie Dibling - bonnie.dibling@thinkpieceresearch.com
