Simplicity Complex

Here’s a poem that must be read
Read it quickly and carefully
For it has become a “masterpiece” of no feeling
No complexity that must be explained
Through forgettable emotion and words
Words scatter the page that is matter
Matter takes up space
Life clutters time
Time that has been spent pulling out these words
Words that line the page in couplets
Couplets that begin with caps and end with nothing
Nothing takes up space
People take up time
Time is what it took to write this poem
A poem with no real feeling
A simplicity complex realized
