I decided to choose all women CEO’s because I myself hope to be a CEO of a major company someday, so I figured they would have the biggest influence. My first pick was Cathleen Black who is the President of Hearst Magazines Division including magazines as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, and many more. I’m not sure that I want to be head of a magazine corporation, but it sounds really interesting. Plus, all of the women that I picked have worked themselves from the bottom up. The next two women I chose were Anne Mulcahy and Brenda Barns. Anne is the Chairman and CEO of the Xerox Corporation and Brenda is the CEO of Sara Lee. I thought that it was interesting that the Xerox Company was run by a woman. Also, Anne has made the company go from seventeen billion dollars to about seven. I also chose Brenda because she has started from the bottom and worked her way up to a CEO position.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Audra Gall and I am attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a focus in Business Administration. We are doing a project where we ask successful business men and women questions that may help us with our future careers. I would greatly appreciate it if you could take the time to answer them.

  1. What classes did you take in school that you think have prepared you for the career you are in today?
  2. What made you chose the career field that you did?
  3. Now that you are in a successful business career what goals do you have for the future?
  4. If you could change any choices that you have made along the way would you? If yes, what would you change?
  5. What advice would you give to someone going into a Business degree?

Thank you so much for your time I greatly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Audra L. Gall
