About the Area - Edwardsville, IL
We are so excited to have you visit our campus. SIUE began at this location in 1965 with buildings made from brick, slate and granite that complement the terrain of the area. Our campus has received several awards in recognition of the successful blend of aesthetics and function in a setting that enhances growth and development. We are one of the largest campuses in North America!
In addition to an architecturally distinguished campus, SIUE offers affordable tuition rates, the tranquility of rural life, and access to the excitement of a major American city. Its broad choice of degrees and programs ranges from career-oriented fields of study to traditional liberal arts. Students have an opportunity to interact with outstanding teachers and scholars, as well as with other students from all parts of the United States and the world.
