Direct Entry
SIUE offers the opportunity for first-year students to be directly admitted into some of our most competitive programs on campus. A limited number of first-year applicants will be considered for direct entry into the Schools of Business; Education, Health and Human Behavior; Engineering; and Nursing as well as conditional entry to the School of Pharmacy.
Admission to these programs is competitive, and most students will enter these academic programs through the traditional process.
Direct entry to the School of Nursing and conditional entry to the School of Pharmacy are closed.
To ensure consideration for the remaining programs, prospective first-year students must submit a completed undergraduate admission application for fall 2023 and request their official high school transcript by July 21, 2023. On the admission application, the intended major must be selected as this will prompt direct entry review.
Students eligible for direct entry admission will be notified via mail two weeks after the acceptance packet. The School of Pharmacy will notify students in the spring regarding eligibility.
