School of Education, Health and Human Behavior
Qualified incoming first-year students have the opportunity to be admitted directly into the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior.
Majors include:
- Early Childhood Education
- Elementary Education
- Exercise Science
- Public Health
- Nutrition
- Psychology
- Special Education
- Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Teacher licensure is available in early childhood education, elementary education and special education.
To ensure consideration, prospective first-year students must submit a completed undergraduate admission application for fall 2023 and request their official high school transcript by July 21, 2023. On the application, students should select one of the areas above as their intended major on the application as this will prompt direct entry review. Students that meet the criteria below will be offered direct entry admission to the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior and notified via mail.
Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education: A minimum cumulative 3.5 high school GPA (4.0 scale) or a minimum cumulative 3.25 high school GPA (4.0 scale) and 1200 SAT ERW + M (25 ACT)
Exercise Science: A minimum cumulative 3.0 high school GPA (4.0 scale)
Psychology, Public Health, and Nutrition: A minimum cumulative 3.5 high school GPA (4.0 scale) or a minimum cumulative 3.25 high school GPA (4.0 scale) and 1200 SAT ERW + M (25 ACT)
Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology: A minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale)
Benefits: Selected students receive advisement through the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior, have earlier opportunities to participate in academic clubs and honor societies, and meet and interact with other students and faculty in their major.
