School of Business Freshman Select Program
Incoming first-year students with an interest in becoming the next generation of business professionals have the opportunity to be admitted directly into the School of Business. Majors include accountancy and business administration, with specializations available in:
- computer information systems
- cybersecurity
- economics
- entrepreneurship
- finance
- general business administration
- human resource management
- international business
- management
- marketing
- supply chain management
For direct entry consideration, students should select one of these areas or "still deciding in business" as their intended major on the undergraduate admission application. The admission application and supporting documents (application fee and official high school transcript) must be submitted by July 22, 2022.
Students who have at least a cumulative 3.5 high school GPA (4.0 scale) or a cumulative 3.25 high school GPA (4.0 scale) and 1260 SAT ERW + M or 27 ACT will be notified via mail two weeks after receiving their SIUE admission letter that they meet the minimum requirements to be considered for the Direct Entry Program in the School of Business.
Freshman Select Program Benefits
Selected students gain automatic acceptance into the School of Business, receive program planning assistance by the School of Business advisors beginning in the first year, and have opportunities to interact with faculty, upperclass business students and alumni, as well as supporters of the School of Business.
