In May 2014, Jennifer returned to her alma mater to serve as associate director of Admissions. A native of Tuscola, Ill., Jennifer launched her career in higher education in 2002 upon earning a Bachelor of Science in social work. From 2002 to 2005, she served as an admission counselor/assistant transfer coordinator at SIUE. Jennifer’s professional path continued at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2005 to 2009, where she held positions that focused on admissions, advising, recruitment and program planning. In January 2010, Jennifer accepted the position of associate director of Admissions and Records at Parkland College in Champaign, where she gained experience in staff supervision, records management and leadership of campus-wide initiatives. She held this position until her return to SIUE. Her current responsibilities include oversight of the Admission Counseling and Undergraduate Review and Processing teams. In April 2016, Jennifer earned a Master of Science in corporate and organizational communication from Northeastern University.
Jennifer is currently a member of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC), Illinois Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (IACRAO), and American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). She currently serves on the IACRAO Executive Board and as a co-chair for the Transfer Coordinators of Illinois Colleges and Universities.
While Jennifer thoroughly enjoys working with all students, her favorite populations include transfer and nontraditional students. She values the opportunity to serve as a key resource for students as they prepare for transition to SIUE and strive to achieve their dreams.
