Additional programs, visit opportunities and registration information is available on our website.
Our office is open daily, Monday-Friday and staff are available via email and phone. You can find your admission counselor online or email the office at admissions@siue.edu.
SIUE is not requiring standardized tests (SAT or ACT) for admission to the 2021 terms (spring, summer and fall). Students with a cumulative 2.6 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale will be automatically admitted. Students with a cumulative 2.0-2.59 high school GPA will be considered by the admission review committee, which may required additional information such as a 7th semester high school transcript or a personal statement. Transfer students with less than 30 semester hours should submit final high school transcripts but are not required to provide SAT/ACT scores.
If you have been able to take a standardized test, we highly encourage you send your scores to SIUE (SAT code 1759, ACT code 1147). This will not impact your admission to SIUE, but our direct entry options as well as merit scholarships are based on either your GPA or the test score, whichever benefits you most. Also, the test score can be used for course placement.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will continue to work with you as you explore SIUE. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions. We are here for you!
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we respond to the pandemic. Feel free to read more about SIUE's ongoing response to COVID-19.
