SUAA at SIUE Chapter Meeting with Rep Jay Hoffman
The SIUE Chapter of the State Universities Annuitants Association (SUAA) was pleased to present State Representative and Assistant Majority Leader Jay Hoffman on campus. He discussed his involvement, advocacy and leadership with Senate Bill 1937, Tier 2 Pension reform; updated us on the House Pension Working Group that was established this year; told us about his role as Majority Leader; and talked about what to possibly expect in the fall Veto Session. He also reminded attendees that SIUE used to be in his district in his earlier years in the state legislature, noting he had supported the construction of quite a few buildings on the SIUE campus.
