Student Employee Pay

Student employee wages at SIUE range from $15.00 to $22.00 per hour, a range set by Human Resources. All new student positions start at $15.00 per hour.

As you gain experience, your pay grows with the hours you work: for every 500 hours on the job, your wage increases by $0.10 per hour. These step increases continue up to the $22.00 maximum.

Departments that wish to start an employee above the $15.00 base rate, or otherwise pay above what the standard schedule allows, must complete a wage justification form before doing so.
