Supplemental Instruction (SI)
The Supplemental Instruction (SI) program is a non-remedial, institution-wide academic assistance program that increases student performance and retention. SI targets traditionally difficult academic courses — those that have an approximate 30% rate of D or F grades and withdrawals — and provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class, peer facilitated group study sessions. SI does not identify high-risk students, but rather identifies high-risk courses.
Who We Are and What We Do
The SI program provides free, peer-facilitated group study sessions for traditionally difficult courses, helping students of all ability levels improve their grades by mastering course content.
