The SIU School of Dental Medicine campus is located in Alton and offers a four-year academic program which results in the awarding of the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. The primary goal of the school is to prepare graduates to become competent general practitioners of dentistry. Patient care is provided in state-of-the-art clinical facilities at the Alton campus and at the East St. Louis Center.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is authorized to operate as a postsecondary educational institution by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
