Dr. Beth Cady is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and clinical pharmacy specialist in Infectious Diseases at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill. She also holds an adjunct appointment within the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Ill. She participates in multi-disciplinary rounds with the SIU SOM Infectious Diseases consult team. Dr. Cady received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Science Education in 2006 from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. After teaching high school Chemistry for three years, Dr. Cady pursued her PharmD at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA in 2014. Following graduation, she completed her residency training (PGY1 and PGY2 in Infectious Diseases) at the University of Kentucky HealthCare in Lexington, Ky. She is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and her areas of interest include gram negative resistance, rapid diagnostics in ID, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
