Getting Started with your Pharmacy Education
The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy follows a 2+4 model. This means that applicants to our program are admitted to the four-year professional degree program after they have completed at least 2 years of college. These first two years can be completed at SIUE. View the list of pre-pharmacy courses.
The Class of 2019 has achieved a board pass rate of 95.83% on the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX) ! The SIUE School of Pharmacy continues to rank above state and national averages AND #1 out of all schools in Illinois and Missouri on the NAPLEX! Our NAPLEX pass rate of 95.85% for first-time test-takers (2009-2019) EXCEEDS state and national averages. That puts us in the Top 20 out of 135 schools of pharmacy across the US!
