The SIUE Office of Research and Projects (ORP) and the NIH-funded BRIDGE program invite faculty and research staff to attend a discussion on topics presented at this year’s spring and fall 2017 NIH Regional Seminar. Drs. Maria Fernandez del Valle and Huaibo Xin both from the Department of Applied Health attended the seminars. They will be sharing valuable information and insight into the NIH world.
Please join us for this discussion on Monday, December 11th, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm in the Graduate School Conference Room, 2215 Rendleman Hall to hear information about the National Institutes of Health from two SIUE faculty members.
The aims of SIUE’s BRIDGE program [National Institutes of Health Biomedical/Biobehavioral Research Administrative Development award funded through the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (G11HD080220)] will increase the ability of the Office of Research and Projects (ORP) to assist with pre-award, post–award, and compliance issues; increase the number of faculty pursuing external support for Biomedical/Biobehavioral Research (BBR); as well as facilitate collaboration across disciplines and between faculty at SIUE and other regional universities with strong BBR programs, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis University, University of Missouri St. Louis, and the SIU School of Medicine. The resulting research activity, learning prospects, and collaboration will provide SIUE faculty with opportunities to become more prepared in seeking external funding for BBR research.
