Understanding Dining at SIUE

At SIUE, all students living in first-year residence halls are required to purchase a meal plan. When you purchase a meal plan, 60% of the price is applied to fixed costs associated with dining, and the remaining 40% is applied to your student account. When you purchase food on campus, you'll only pay 40% of the list price. Any unused meal plan balance will be refunded to you at the end of the spring semester. Students also have the option of adding Cougar Bucks to use on campus and at select off-campus locations.
