SIUE Graduate GPA Notification Action Required
Dear $SUBSCRIBER.FIRSTNAME,
Graduate Records has notified your Graduate Program Director that your cumulative grade point average has fallen below the required minimum of 3.0 for retention with the conclusion of the most recent term.
Note the two different GPA calculations for graduate students:
1. Program GPA is the GPA of all graduate coursework in your program and is used for graduation purposes only.
2. Cumulative GPA of all graduate coursework is used for retention review, which is what this notice is based upon.
In accordance with the graduate policy, we have notified your Graduate Program Director that your retention in a graduate degree program is in jeopardy, and a recommendation relative to your continuation in the program has been requested. Such recommendation may include special conditions under which you will be allowed to continue course work in your program. No student may continue in graduate study without a retention plan approved by the Graduate Program Director and Dean of the Graduate School. Therefore, it is important to contact your Graduate Program Director immediately to discuss your academic standing and progress.
