Dear $SUBSCRIBER.FIRSTNAME,
It has been brought to our attention that you need to complete your SIUE account security questions on CougarNet. These questions are used to recover your PIN. Your PIN is a six digit number used in combination with your University ID (800#). It will be necessary to establish these security questions to efficiently utilize CougarNet in the future.
To set up your security questions and answers, please follow these steps:
- Log into CougarNet, and from the Main Menu, click on Personal Information.
- Then click on Change Security Questions
- Enter your PIN code in the textbox after Please Confirm your PIN. This is the PIN associated with your 800#.
- If you need to look up your PIN, please do so by www.siue.edu/e-ID. Then click on Lookup University ID and PIN, then click Continue. Enter your e-ID and password, click continue. Then your 800# and PIN will display.
- If you need your PIN reset, please contact the Service Center.
- Then select your questions and enter the corresponding answers for each question.
- Click Submit.
Please be aware that you will be prompted to confirm the PIN code associated with your 800# when you attempt to register. If you do not have your security questions established, you will not be able to proceed to registration until your PIN is confirmed and your security questions are established.
