Change in Academic Standing
Dear $SUBSCRIBER.FIRSTNAME,
At the conclusion of this semester, you were placed on Academic Probation. This means that you have not maintained a minimum of a 2.0 term grade point average (GPA) while on warning. While on probation, you must achieve a minimum 2.0 term GPA each semester until you are able to achieve an overall 2.0 cumulative GPA. You will be returned to Good Standing once your cumulative GPA has reached the required minimum of 2.0.
If you are unable to achieve a minimum term GPA of 2.0 while you are on Academic Probation, you will be suspended from the University. I urge you to meet with your advisor as soon as possible to discuss strategies that will assist you with returning to good standing.
Please remember that the University has several resources available to assist students with achieving their academic goals. I hope that you will take full advantage of those resources in the coming semesters. Do not be discouraged by your current standing. Use this as an opportunity to reflect on challenges that may be interfering with your success so that you may address them moving forward.
