Change in Academic Standing

Dear $SUBSCRIBER.FIRSTNAME,

Because of your continued unsatisfactory academic progress at SIUE, you have been placed on Academic Suspension. This means that you have not maintained the "C" (2.000) average that is required of students on Academic Probation to continue enrollment. If you were enrolled in summer term, you have been withdrawn from all classes. All associated tuition and fees have been credited to your account. If this is your first suspension and you previously enrolled in fall term, you may have been dropped from classes in which you no longer meet enrollment requirements.  However, you may have been retained in some classes.  Please review your schedule and work with your advisor to make further adjustments if appropriate.  If this is your second suspension, you have been removed from all future enrollment.

If you have made payment that exceeds any charges remaining on your account, you will receive a refund. If you are living in campus housing or have signed a contract for an upcoming term, you must contact the Central Housing Office in writing by Wednesday, June 10, 2020 to avoid being assessed full contract charges.

If this is your first suspension and you have not yet enrolled in Fall 2020 classes, you will be required to meet with your advisor prior to return. You may enroll in Fall 2020 or later following authorization by your advisor.  If this is your second suspension, you must seek approval from the Suspension Appeals Committee prior to return. Information regarding appeal may be obtained at https://www.siue.edu/registrar/forms/reinstatement.shtml.  If this is your third suspension, you are ineligible to return to the University.

Sincerely,
Laura A. Strom
Registrar
