Don't forget to submit the fall 2020 decision form. On July 2, we hosted a live webinar addressing SIUE’s plans for the fall 2020 semester. If you were not able to attend, you can watch a recording of the webinar to learn more about your options for enrolling at SIUE.
As the fall 2020 semester approaches, we are asking you to inform us of your intentions by selecting one of the following options:
- I plan to attend classes at the SIUE campus beginning in fall 2020.
- I plan to take online courses while remaining in my home country during the fall 2020 semester.
- I plan to defer my admission to the spring 2021 semester.
By indicating one of these options on the fall 2020 decision form, we will be able to work directly with you on your next steps. We understand things are continually changing due to COVID-19, and your plans may need to change based on your personal situation or your ability to obtain a visa. Please indicate your intentions at this time on the form, and we can always make an adjustment if conditions change.
If you choose to take online courses for the fall while remaining in your home country, your admission to the university is guaranteed and you will be eligible for a scholarship to reduce your costs for the fall 2020 semester. The value of this scholarship will bring your tuition to the domestic or “in-state” rate for these online classes. You may choose to take only one course or more, and this option will help you to finish your degree on time. Your I-20 will be updated for arrival to SIUE in the spring 2021 semester.
If you choose to defer your admissions to a later term, we will work directly with you to make the process of deferring as simple as possible. Your admission can be deferred, and all scholarships will be honored. We will be following up with you to update your I-20.
