Ways for your student to get involved at SIUE

• Study Tables are scheduled for twice a week for two hours in each residential community.
• Residents in the same online class can reserve space in the activity wing to participate in their online courses together in the same space. 
• Every Resident Assistant (RA) holds virtual open-door hours. Residents can use this time to drop in and ask questions, share concerns, or just hang out for a bit. 
• Roompact is an online platform that allows residents to engage in a virtual community environment with other members of their community and with their Resident Assistant. This is a place for them to post questions, access various Housing forms, and submit their Roommate/Suitemate Agreements. Ask your student if they have logged into Roompact yet!
• Each month Resident Assistants and the Area Councils will host socials. Programs will be held in person or virtually, and are fun activities (watch parties, game nights, volleyball, etc.) to help residents engage with one another.
• We will host programs to engage students around our Learning Goals in Housing. These activities will be a mix of in-person, grab and go content, and virtual opportunities.  
• Students can check out the Kimmel Student Involvement Center's first Virtual Student Organization Activities Fair. Students can go to flipgrid.com/6e1408d3 to check out nearly 50 clubs and student organizations and find out how to get involved.

These are just a few of the engagement and academic support opportunities that are being provided for University Housing residents this fall. Encourage your student to visit Roompact, drop in to their RAs virtual open-door, and connect with others in their community.
