Affordable Education at SIUE

SIUE’s tuition and fees are among the lowest in our region. Paired with a low cost of living in the Edwardsville area, SIUE is an affordable choice for a quality education.
SIUE offers several options to help graduate students support their studies at SIUE.
- New students are eligible for the Competitive Graduate Award and Graduate Scholar Award.
- Current students are eligible for research grants for graduate students, research grants for doctoral students and travel grants.
- Graduate students may also apply for a graduate assistantship. Through an assistantship, graduate students associate directly with faculty members engaged in instruction and research. Program-related assistantship applications should be submitted directly to the graduate director of your academic program. Various administrative units also offer assistantships.
