Next Steps

Congratulations on your admission to the SIUE Graduate School! Now that you have been admitted, there are several important steps you will need to complete as part of your enrollment:
Step 1: Activate your student ID if you haven't already done so.
- Access CougarNet.
- Enter your student ID number: ${Contacts.Banner ID}.
- Enter your temporary PIN, which is your date of birth in the following format: MMDDYY.
- You will be prompted to change your PIN. Once you have changed your PIN, your student ID will be active.
Step 2: Set up your electronic username, or e-ID. Select “I want to get an e-ID.” You will need to enter your name, date of birth and student ID number. You may check your SIUE email account by visiting office365.siue.edu. Login with your email address (example@siue.edu) and then enter your password.
Why do you need to know your e-ID and student ID (800#)?
All SIUE communication concerning course registration, payment and billing, deadlines, and access to the courses on Blackboard will come to your SIUE email address.
Step 3: Consider downloading the SIUE app. This is a great tool to manage your email, student account and Blackboard.
Step 4: Schedule an appointment with your MBA advisor.
Step 5: Explore your financing options. Email the Office of Financial Aid or call 618-650-3880 if you are seeking financial aid assistance. You may need up to 30 days to process financial aid. If you cannot complete this prior to the current term, we recommend you begin the MBA program in the next term. Learn more about payment due dates. Full payment of tuition and fees must be made prior to the start of the term.
