Expand your knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2016 with Educational Outreach!

Introductory Microsoft Excel 2016

Cost: $219 

Designed for individuals with any level of experience with Microsoft Excel, this course will introduce new users to Excel 2016 and expand the knowledge of existing users. The course will include an overview of basic functionality in Microsoft Excel which will provide a foundation of the application. Topics covered in this course include creating and managing multiple worksheets, rearranging data, working with basic formulas and formatting, inserting charts and graphics, and a brief overview of pivot tables. A brief introduction to Windows is included. Basic mouse and keyboarding skills are required for this course. Textbook and online resource materials are provided.

We offer Little Listeners (Suzuki Early Childhood) for ages birth-3, and violin, viola, and cello lessons for ages 3 and up. 

There is no commitment required at this meeting. We will show you what our program is about and give you the opportunity to ask questions.

Beginning and advanced students of all ages are welcome.

Apply Now for Distinguished Research Professor

The Graduate School is now accepting nominations for The Distinguished Research Professor.

The Distinguished Research Professor rank recognizes faculty members who have made an outstanding contribution to research or creative activities as a result of their continued commitment to scholarship beyond the period of their promotion to professor. Recipients of the Award will be recognized with the rank of "SIUE Distinguished Research Professor" for the duration of their tenure at SIUE. The recipients will be officially listed as “Distinguished Research Professor of [name of academic discipline].”

Recipients of the rank of “Distinguished Research Professor” will receive a $1,000 increase in their academic year base salary. They will also be provided with one semester of Assigned Time for Research, at a time to be negotiated with their department chair and school/college dean. Additionally, recipients of the “Distinguished Research Professor” rank will receive a medallion to be worn with their academic regalia, and their names will be placed on plaques displayed in Rendleman Hall.

Application portfolios are due to the Graduate School on MondaySept. 9, by 4:30 p.m..

Thanks to the generous donations of professional attire from the campus and regional community, the Career Development Center has a lot of professional clothes to give away to SIUE students!

The Career Development Center is in need of volunteers to set up, staff and clean up for the giveaway event.
