I am delighted to announce the appointment of Mallory Sidarous, associate director of University Housing, to serve as the Interim Director of University Housing, effective July 1.

Sidarous currently oversees the Central Housing Office. She will succeed Mike Schultz, who served as the Director of University Housing for 30 years.

A strong member of the SIUE University Housing team, Sidarous joined the University in August 2008 as the marketing specialist. After serving in that role, she accepted the Associate Director of Housing position in early 2015.

Sidarous earned a bachelor's in marketing from Eastern Illinois University and a master's of business administration in 2011 from SIUE.

An active member of ACUHO-I, she has served as Business Operations Conference chair, Marketing and Communications Committee chair, Volunteer Engagement Task Force member, and is a valued voice in topics relating to marketing, communications and occupancy.

I am grateful to Mallory for her willingness to serve as the Interim Director of University Housing during this transitional period. Mallory has agreed to serve in the interim position through the 2019-20 academic year.
