Elza Ibroscheva Named SIUE Associate Provost

SIUE Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Denise Cobb, PhD, has named Elza Ibroscheva, PhD, as associate provost, effective July 1. Ibroscheva’s primary responsibilities in the associate provost role will include academic planning, assessment and accreditation.

Her energetic commitment to the University was developed during her 13-year tenure as a faculty member in the Department of Mass Communications, including service in such leadership positions as department chair and graduate program director. She returns to campus after serving Webster University as associate dean at the School of Communications since 2017.

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive on campus from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. on the following days:

  • Thursday, June 13 – Bloodmobile, SIUE Hairpin

Drone Camp at SIUE, June 12-13

The School of Engineering is hosting a Drone Camp for students ages 12-18:

8:45 a.m. Check-in
9 a.m.-3 p.m. Camp
Wednesday-Thursday, June 12-13
Engineering Building, SIUE campus
The cost is $250
Please register for Drone Camp.

Campers will:

  • Learn about FAA regulations for piloting unmanned aerial systems
  • Build, configure and experiment with drones
  • Learn how to program drones to address specific challenges
  • See drones in action
  • Build a knowledge base to build upon after camp
