Criminal Justice Career Fair, Today

The Department of Criminal Justice Studies program and the Criminal Justice Club will host a Criminal Justice Career Fair:

More than 35 criminal justice agencies (law enforcement, probation, corrections, treatment, victim services and private security) will attend and talk with students.

Federal, state and local agencies will be represented from both Illinois and Missouri.

Participatory outreach methods in teaching and researching sustainability with Dr. Gerardo Sandoval. Sandoval will discuss his experience in teaching university courses and conducting research that incorporates participatory outreach methods. The focus of his talk will address equity issues of concern within low-income Latino communities. Sponsored by SIUE Successful Communities Collaborative, Office of Educational Research, and the Department of Sociology, with support from the College of Arts and Sciences Targeted Funding Initiative.

Saturday Night Live Comedian Michael Che Performs at Springfest

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is proud to announce the 2019 SpringFest Comedian, Michael Che!

Che is co-anchor of Saturday Night Live’s iconic “Weekend Update” segment, and is a co-head writer of the show. With numerous television appearances, Che also co-hosted the 2018 Emmy Awards.

Tickets are $5 for SIUE students, $10 for SIUE faculty and staff and $20 for the. There is a limit of four tickets sold per ID. Tickets are available for purchase at the MUC Welcome desk.

This event is a phone-free experience. Use of cellphones, smart watches, smart accessories, cameras or recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space.

Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr cases that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their phones at all times, and can access their phones throughout the show at designated Phone Use Areas in the venue. All phones will be re-secured in Yondr cases before returning to the performance space. Guests are encouraged to print their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth entry process.

Anyone using a cellphone during the performance will be escorted out of the venue. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

The NCERC is scouting individuals with mechanical, operational, and/or technical experience. Attendees should be prepared to take a pre-test to measure technical knowledge, a plant tour and mock interview.

Closed-toed shoes and long pants are required for the tour. Refreshments will be provided. Attendees should also bring an updated resume.
