The Campus Kitchen at SIUE is competing with more than 20 Campus Kitchens across the country to see which campus can “raise the most dough” in the Campus Kitchens Project “Raise the Dough” fundraiser.

The fundraiser runs through today.  

The Campus Kitchen at SIUE relies solely on monetary and in-kind donations to continue fighting hunger and food insecurity in the St. Louis Metro area. We need YOU to help us!

Dance In Concert Continues through Feb. 24

Saturday Studio Art Workshops Beginning Feb. 23

The schedule for Saturday Studio Art runs from Feb. 23-April 27. All sessions will be held in the second floor of the Art and Design West building on SIUE's campus.

There will be no class during SIUE's Spring Break on March 16. 

Studio instruction is once agian offered for grades K-12. 

All classes are designed to stimulate creative growth. Emphasis is placed on developing skills in a variety of media and generating ideas for creative expression. 

Art teachers in Saturday Studio classes are becoming certified art education professionals and are art education majors in the SIUE Department of Art and Design.

M*A*S*H’s Mike Farrell Discusses Acting, Activism on WSIE

SIUE is proud to welcome noted actor and activist Mike Farrell for his upcoming performance of Dr. Keeling’s Curve at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1 in the Dunham Hall Theater.

On this week’s episode of Segue, SIUE’s radio show that discusses the lives and work of the people on campus and beyond, host Greg Budzban, PhD, College of Arts and Science dean, interviews the star about his upcoming performance. This Segue episode airs at 9 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 24 on WSIE 88.7 FM The Sound andsiue.edu/wsie.

Sponsored by the SIUE Graduate School and the Madison County Regional Office of Education, the M*A*S*H and Providence actor will perform in the one-man show as Dr. Charles David Keeling, the scientist whose research on carbon dioxide (CO2) gave the world its first early warnings of global warming.

Pezzuto earned a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He served as dean of the College of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Sciences at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana from 2002-2006. 

Pezzuto was the founding dean of the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawaii at Hilo (2009-2015). Hecurrently serves as professor and dean at Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y.

All graduating senior dental studentsmust take a patient-based clinical licensing examination prior to being eligible to apply for a license to practice dentistry. 

We need your help in advance of this licensing exam to complete this requirement. You can help by participating in in a FREE dental screening.

FREE screenings will be offered from 5-7 p.m. at the School of Dental Medicine on the Alton campus:
Monday, Feb. 25

A FREE dental screening, including select x-rays, will be offered to patients willing to participate and who are 18 years and older.

There will be NO CHARGE for the treatment you will receive during the Board Exam.

No appointment is necessary for the FREE screenings offered. Please bring a photo ID. Free parking is available in the patient parking area (off of Annex Street).

SIU SDM Main Dental Clinic is located at 1700 Annex Street (free patient parking off of Annex Street) in Alton.

Student Fitness Center Adds More Yoga Classes

Due to the increase of yoga participation numbers, an extra yoga class has been added to the Group Fitnss schedule:

Bradley is the author of Upending the Ivory Tower: Civil Rights, Black Power, and the Ivy League.

“I’ll be speaking primarily about the movements of black youth in the past and present, as they have influenced institutional policy and culture in higher education, as well as the nation," said Bradley. "Based on my studies, black youth have time and again saved American democracy.”

This award is presented to organizations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to leading the St. Louis Region’s authentic economic strengths and championing a better tomorrow for the region. 

The Arcus Awards also give out People’s Choice Awards to the finalist that receives the most votes.
