New Late Night Hours for Lovejoy Library

Over the past two academic years, we’ve received positive feedback on the temporary 24/7 schedule during the last two weeks of the semester. By extending its hours throughout the 2018 fall semester, Library and Information Services (LIS) continues to respond to the needs of an evolving campus culture.

Under this new schedule, which took effect Monday, Oct. 8, Lovejoy Library will be open during the following hours:

Sunday: 10 a.m.-1 a.m.
Monday: 7:30 a.m.-1 a.m.
Tuesday: 7:30 a.m.-1 a.m.
Wednesday: 7:30 a.m.-1 a.m.
Thursday: 7:30 a.m.-1 a.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

In addition to the change in building hours, the Information Desk will be open until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and the former Instruction Room A has been designated as a Quiet Study Space for those who wish to work independently while remaining on the first floor.

We hope that these additional hours will continue to make Lovejoy Library a welcoming late-night space for SIUE students to work independently or collaboratively.

University Police will continue to patrol the library as part of their usual schedule. Likewise, Facilities Management will maintain the building, as usual.

For more information, contact LIS administration at 650-2712.
