Conversational Japanese
7-8:30 p.m.
Thursdays from Sept. 20–Nov. 1
Cost: $89

This course is designed to help those students with little or no previous experience with the Japanese language. Participants will learn basic introductions, greetings and vocabulary helpful in describing common items and experiences. Pronunciation will be practiced, and basic Japanese conversation will be introduced along with learning Japanese culture. No textbook is needed for the course. The instructor will provide handouts as needed.

SIUE Enrollment Management Launches New Monthly Series on Recruitment and Retention

The Office of Enrollment Management (EM) is happy to announce the launch of Enrollment Management Three (EM3), a series of monthly updates for the campus community on recruitment and retention efforts and emerging trends across the enrollment management landscape. 

EM at SIUE is a very collaborative endeavor, as EM Directors work with deans, divisions and departments across campus. We engage in a tremendous amount of activity targeted toward the recruitment and support of vastly different student populations. 

The forthcoming EM3 updates will shed light on activities initiated through the SIUE Enrollment Management Plan, New Reality meetings, University Congress discussions, The University Diversity Plan and various decisions and opportunities coming out of Springfield. Each meeting will conclude with an update on application, registration and enrollment numbers.
